Fabric can be used to give scrapbook pages a background or border.  This can enhance the page by creating a border or giving texture to the page.  The fabric can be cut into various shapes and sizes and the fabric can be glued to the paper.  Make sure that the fabric is acid free so that it doesn't ruin your photos.  To test if the fabric is acid free you can soak a small piece in a glass of water over night.  If the water is discolored then the fabric will likely discolor your scrapbook pieces over time.

As I started reading this I was wondering how I would know if the fabric is acid free. I do a lot of sewing and never saw that information the bolts of fabric and then you answered my question as I finished reading  :D
